Summary: The ServiceNow Administrator is essential to American Food and Vending’s digital transformation, providing crucial support and enhancing the ServiceNow platform. This position is responsible for maintaining ITSM modules, streamlining workflows, and implementing automated self-service features throughout the company. By collaborating with both technical and business teams, the administrator interprets user needs, oversees platform updates, and manages critical modules—including Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Catalog—to ensure smooth operation. With solid expertise in ITIL processes and platform functions, the ServiceNow Administrator drives ongoing improvements and boosts user satisfaction. Serving as a platform steward and effective problem-solver, this person shapes the strategic roadmap, supports integrations, and ensures ServiceNow stays dependable, scalable, and in line with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications and workflows, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules using JavaScript, Glide scripting, UI policies, Business Rules, and Flow Designer.
- Implement integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Administer and optimize the Service Catalog and Service Portal for end-user experience.
- Perform platform upgrades, patching, and skipped update reviews.
- Maintain CMDB and ensure accurate configuration item relationships.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for ServiceNow-related issues and enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and sprint planning.
- Support go-live and hyper care phases of ServiceNow implementations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
- Strong understanding of ITSM and ITIL frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow Glide scripting.
- Experience with ServiceNow modules: Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Virtual Agent, and DevOps is a plus.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; CAD or ITSM Implementation Specialist certification preferred.
- Knowledge of domain separation, on-call scheduling, and agent workspace configuration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
